Dalet Labs Raises $7 Million for AI Shopping App Scene

Dalet Labs, an AI-commerce startup, announced a $7 million pre-seed funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and launched Scene, a shopping app featuring a feed of shoppable, AI-generated images, on the US Apple App Store Wednesday. Founded by Omer Bar-Tal, the app is invite-only at launch and offers products from real brands across fashion, home decor, and sports. The feed adapts to user interests, generating scenes with people wearing or using items, and the company plans to monetize through affiliate marketing. Bar-Tal positions Scene as a discovery tool for undecided shoppers, contrasting it with agentic commerce, which he says misses shopping's "delightful experience." The New York-based startup will use the funding to hire engineers and researchers, with user acquisition plans including influencer promotion and a holiday coupon campaign.
