Cyclone Felicia to bring rain and cooler Atlantic air to western and northern Ukraine

unian.ua (Ukrainian) —

Cyclone Felicia will bring rain and cooler Atlantic air to western and northern Ukraine starting Friday, October 9, according to forecaster Vitaliy Postryhan. Southern winds may reach dangerous speeds of 15-20 m/s in some areas. The rest of Ukraine will still receive subtropical air from the Mediterranean and Balkans. Over the weekend, temperatures will drop to 5-10°C at night and 15-20°C during the day, with no significant precipitation expected. The forecaster noted that Indian summer warmth will gradually fade next week as the ground loses more heat than it gains. Separately, scientist Vazira Martazinova predicted a mild winter with short cold spells and no stable snow cover.
