CVS Health supports vulnerable patients during extreme weather events

CVS Health has launched an initiative using advanced environmental data analytics to support patients vulnerable to extreme weather, starting with heat waves. The program provides timely alerts and personalized outreach to at-risk patients, initially available to Aetna members. The initiative aims to reduce health risks associated with extreme heat and air pollution, with care managers already connecting with hundreds of patients across 20 states.
