Customs seized two more SUVs in connection with a Bhutan vehicle smuggling investigation. The Toyota Land Cruisers were found with fake registration plates in Bengaluru. These vehicles, belonging to Malayalis in Bengaluru, were identified through intelligence gathered from interrogating smugglers. This marks the first phase of "Operation Namkhong" extending beyond Kerala. The total number of vehicles seized in the Bhutan smuggling case, including four belonging to actor Dulquer Salmaan, now stands at 60. Salmaan was questioned last week and asked to provide vehicle documentation.
