Cranford woman arrested after Thanksgiving crash leaves two critically injured in Edison

A 31-year-old woman from Cranford was arrested after causing a crash in Edison early on Thanksgiving. The accident left two members of a Middlesex County family critically injured and another driver with serious injuries. The crash occurred around 1:32 a.m. when Alyssa Figueredo allegedly ran a red light and struck the Mejia family's vehicle. Diego Mejia is in stable condition, while his wife and daughter are in critical condition. Figueredo faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence and assault by auto. She was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.
