Corinthians president to testify over security firm contracts

Sao Paulo state prosecutors have scheduled Corinthians president Osmar Stabile to testify on Friday, August 7, regarding an investigation into alleged irregularities in the club's hiring of security companies during his tenure. The probe began after the club hired Mega Assessoria Operacional Ltda., which provided security services from September to October 2025. The company lacked Federal Police authorization for private security work and had no formal contract, with three invoices totaling R$ 676,600 issued. Stabile previously postponed a deposition in June at his defense's request. The investigation also covers Bear Security, hired for Stabile's personal protection since July 2025, which also lacked authorization and received about R$ 587,000 from the club. Separately, prosecutors scheduled another Stabile hearing for August 10 regarding a possible judicial intervention into the club.
