CoreWeave opens first international data centers in the UK to boost AI computing capacity

CoreWeave has opened its first two international data centers in the U.K., marking its expansion outside the U.S. The company previously established its European headquarters in London in May 2024, following a $1.1 billion fundraising round. The new data centers, located in Crawley and London Docklands, utilize Nvidia's advanced GPUs for AI workloads. This development is part of a £1 billion investment in the U.K. to enhance AI computing capacity. CoreWeave, originally focused on crypto mining, has shifted to meet the growing demand for AI compute resources. The company plans to open 10 additional data centers in 2025, including three in Europe.
