Cooler Lid Mesh Hack Creates Ice Pack Storage Space

news.yahoo.co.jp (Japanese) —

An Instagram user's DIY technique for attaching a mesh to the inside of a cooler lid to create storage for ice packs has gone viral, amassing roughly 545,000 views. The method solves the common problem of bulky ice packs shifting around and taking up space. The technique involves attaching adhesive hooks from Daiso to the lid's interior and threading long hair ties between them in a zigzag pattern. Ice packs are then secured in the gaps, preventing them from sliding or resting on top of food and drinks, which frees up space inside the cooler. The creator, @100kin_channel, shared the video with LIMO's permission. The flexible design allows for adjustments to accommodate different ice pack sizes by changing the number of ties or their spacing.
