Congress slams Modi's Nilekani task force as damage control over India's exam paper leaks

thehindu.com [$]

Congress on Thursday called PM Modi's Nilekani-led task force on exam reforms a "damage control exercise" amid repeated paper leak issues, saying his image has taken a battering. Jairam Ramesh noted the 2024 NEET-UG leak led to the Radhakrishnan Committee, whose report preceded the new task force. He said 27 of its 101 recommendations remain unimplemented and no full-time NTA director general was appointed between the two leaks. PM Modi announced the six-member Nilekani task force last month to recommend leakproof exam reforms. Ramesh cited a newspaper analysis showing most of its mandates overlapped with the Radhakrishnan panel's earlier work.
