Community kitchens have opened for flood-affected families in Supaul, providing meals as homes remain waterlogged and uninhabitable. Despite receding waters, homes are muddy and unsafe, forcing residents into temporary shelters. The district administration is providing food and security at these kitchens and shelters. Heavy rainfall in Nepal caused the Kosi River to swell, inundating over 6,000 homes across 190 villages in Supaul district.
