Community group urges Church to halt Limerick hall sale

The hall, built in 1926 by the local community with Conradh na Gaeilge, was used for cultural events but recently served as storage. The diocese stated the property was sold with Parish Trust support, with proceeds aiding parish needs, as two modern centres now serve the community. The action group claims the Church may lack the right to sell the building, citing no public consultation and unanswered letters. Members note it is the only hall with a stage, and they have begun fundraising to legally challenge the sale.
