Astronomers have discovered a new interstellar visitor, a comet named 3I/ATLAS, which is currently hurtling towards our solar system. The comet, estimated to be 24 kilometers in diameter, was first detected on July 1st and is the third confirmed object from outside our solar system. Observations show 3I/ATLAS traveling at over 210,000 kilometers per hour, with its closest approach to the sun expected in late October. Photographs of the comet's trajectory, captured using different color filters, create a rainbow-like effect. Scientists plan to study the comet's composition and trajectory, potentially using the James Webb Space Telescope.
