Colombia's JEP charges 27 ex-Farc members with war crimes and gender violence

Colombia's Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) has charged 27 former Farc members with non-amnesty crimes and gender-based violence, including four ex-leaders of the guerrilla's last Secretariat. The charges stem from investigations into two macro-cases covering non-amnesty crimes and gender-based violence. Among the accused are Rodrigo Londoño, Jaime Alberto Parra, Carlos Antonio Lozada, and Milton de Jesús Toncel, all former Secretariat members. The charges include the 2003 El Nogal Club bombing in Bogotá that killed 33 civilians, and a 2003 horse bomb attack in Chita, Boyacá, which killed eight people. This marks the JEP's first indictment in these cases.
