Colombian fashion brands shine at Paris Fashion Week with craft and culture
Colombian fashion brands are presenting collections at Paris Fashion Week, combining creativity, cultural identity, and artisanal techniques to expand their recognition and generate new opportunities in the European market. Firm Baobab showcased its new collection at the Paris National Opera, featuring salsa group Grupo Niche, singer Lido Pimienta, and over 20 Colombian models. Designer Manuela Álvarez's MAZ, an LVMH Prize semifinalist, is presenting a capsule from its Oh My Heart collection developed with Asodamas. Five brands, including Andrés Pajón and BLESS, are participating from October 1-5 in an internationalization strategy led by Inexmoda and Colombiamoda to connect with European buyers. The initiative aims to diversify exports beyond the Americas, positioning Colombian design and craftsmanship in the global fashion scene.
