Colapinto reverts to older suspension design for final races after Vegas crash
Franco Colapinto will use an older front suspension design for the last two races of the 2024 Formula 1 season after crashing during qualifying in Las Vegas. Williams had to replace the damaged parts with the previous version due to a lack of new components. The updated suspension was initially planned for the FW46 after a major upgrade in September. However, multiple crashes earlier in the season delayed its introduction. Colapinto acknowledged the change may slightly affect performance. Colapinto noted that pushing limits during qualifying contributed to his crash. He expressed confidence in his performance leading up to the incident and remains focused on maximizing the car's potential in the upcoming races.
