Codiciado sues label, bandmates for trademark infringement

Mexican singer Codiciado is suing his former record label, Rancho Humilde, and ex-bandmates for trademark infringement over a new group's name. He alleges they are using a similar name to his solo act. Codiciado claims the new group, Los Codicia2, is intentionally misleading fans. The lawsuit, filed Tuesday, accuses Rancho Humilde and former Grupo Codiciado members of trying to profit from his established brand and reputation. The singer, who launched a solo career after Grupo Codiciado disbanded in 2021, is seeking an injunction and damages. He argues the defendants' actions are causing irreparable harm to his brand.
