The dip lasted 0.1 seconds and affected the 132,000-volt power grid between Ma On Shan and Sha Tin. The incident caused lights to flicker and left residents trapped in lifts. The Fire Services Department reported 19 cases of people stuck in lifts and two triggered fire alarms shortly after the voltage dip. Affected areas included Siu Lek Yuen, Tin Sum, Sha Tin, Ma On Shan, and Tai Po. CLP Power is currently assessing the situation.
