CIUSSS Centre-Sud employees accessed colleagues' banking data due to a six-year data leak

Employees at CIUSSS Centre-Sud had access to colleagues' banking data. An Excel file containing personal employee information circulated for over six years, from April 2019 to December 2025, due to a human error. The CIUSSS stated the file, which did not include social insurance numbers, has been destroyed, and employees were advised that banking numbers alone cannot grant account access.
