Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' tops $1 billion worldwide, his highest-grossing film

Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' has become his highest-grossing film, earning over $1 billion globally less than a month after its July 17 release. The Homeric epic starring Matt Damon grossed $1.104 billion, surpassing 'The Dark Knight Rises' ($1.085 billion) and 'The Dark Knight' ($1.005 billion). Nolan wrote, directed, and produced with Emma Thomas. The $250-million-budget film also stars Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, and Tom Holland. It is one of three Universal films to pass $1 billion this year.
