'Christmas Story' cast members reflect on their careers 40 years after the film's release

Peter Billingsley, who played Ralphie, has stayed active in film, producing and appearing in holiday movies, including the 2022 sequel. Ian Petrella, Randy Parker, took a break from acting but returned for the sequel after studying puppetry. Scott Schwartz, known for his iconic scene, shifted to the adult film industry in the 1990s but later returned to mainstream acting. Melinda Dillon, who played Mrs. Parker, passed away in 2023, while Darren McGavin, the Old Man, died in 2006.
