Christina Applegate recalls early signs of multiple sclerosis while filming Dead to Me

She recalled falling during a scene, which she now recognizes as an early symptom of the condition. Applegate was diagnosed with MS in 2021, but symptoms had been present for years. During the final season of "Dead to Me," adaptations were made on set to accommodate her declining condition, including support from crew members. Applegate has indicated she may not return to on-camera work but is open to voice acting. MS affects the brain and spinal cord and currently has no cure, though treatments can help manage symptoms.
