Choice reveals Australia’s top stain removers with surprising price-performance findings

A recent test by consumer group Choice revealed that the top stain remover, Sard Super Power, is six times pricier than the second-best, Aldi Di-San, yet only slightly more effective. Sard costs $1.90 per 100ml, while Aldi is just 28 cents. Coles Ultra Pre-Wash Stain Remover ranked third at 43 cents per 100ml, scoring 72%. Other affordable options from Aldi, Coles, and Woolworths also performed well, showing that higher prices do not guarantee better results. In the powder category, Sard and Vanish products led the ratings, both scoring 74%. Aldi's Di-San was noted as the best value powder. Eco-friendly products generally scored lower, with some performing only slightly better than regular laundry detergent.
