Chitradurga police shot a fleeing suspect in self-defense

Chitradurga police shot a wanted suspect after he attacked officers and attempted to flee early Friday morning. The suspect was injured and is now receiving medical treatment. The incident occurred on the outskirts of Sibar, Chitradurga, after police attempted to apprehend Mohammad Kamran, a 25-year-old wanted suspect. Kamran resisted arrest, brandishing a knife and injuring an officer before the police fired. The police officer fired after attempting to negotiate Kamran's surrender and firing a warning shot. Both the suspect and the injured officer were taken to the hospital following the incident.
