A Chinese restaurant, Jiamener, has closed just two weeks after opening due to overwhelming debt. The eatery offered a €15 loyalty card for unlimited food, leading to over €65,000 in losses as customers took advantage of the deal. Located in Chengdu, Jiamener served more than 500 customers daily, specializing in hot pot cuisine. The owners had hoped the promotion would attract repeat business and allow them to negotiate better supplier prices. Despite the initial popularity, the financial strain from the loyalty program proved unsustainable, resulting in the restaurant's closure shortly after its launch on June 1.
