China's top memory chip makers, CXMT and YMTC, are aggressively expanding production to capitalize on a global shortage. CXMT is significantly increasing DRAM production capacity in Shanghai, aiming for output to begin in 2027. YMTC is building a new factory with a focus on NAND and DRAM, also targeting 2027 for production start.
