Traditional industries in China saw strong performance in the first half of 2026, with both large-scale and small-scale products gaining popularity. Yiwu's small commodities, driven by a 48-hour rapid supply chain and World Cup demand, saw exports rise 9% year-on-year. China's shipbuilding industry also achieved global leadership in luxury cruise ships, LNG carriers, and roll-on/roll-off ships. Smaller mechanical and electrical products like electric tricycles and mini excavators are capturing niche overseas markets, while domestic motorcycle brands are breaking foreign monopolies through industry-wide collaboration.
