China reveals J-35 stealth fighter jet at Zhuhai air show
China has unveiled its new J-35 stealth fighter jet at the Zhuhai air show, marking a significant step in its military modernization efforts. The J-35A, designed for land use, was showcased alongside a model of a carrier-based version. This development positions China alongside the U.S. as one of the few countries capable of producing multiple series of stealth fighters. Analysts note that while China has made advancements, it remains 10-15 years behind the U.S. in military capabilities. The J-35 is designed for both air-to-air and air-to-surface operations, aiming to compete with the U.S. F-35 series. The aircraft's introduction coincides with a shift in air combat dynamics, with both nations exploring unmanned systems and artificial intelligence.
