China is set to open the world's highest bridge, drastically reducing travel time from two hours to one minute. The bridge is nearing completion and is expected to open in the second half of 2025. Located in Guizhou, China, the bridge will stand 625 meters above the river, surpassing the current record holder, the Millau Viaduct in France, by 289 meters. Construction began in January 2022 and is 95% complete. The bridge, spanning the Huajiang Grand Canyon, will be the first of its kind with two-way traffic. Guizhou is already home to nearly half of the world's 100 tallest bridges.
