The two nations are increasing cooperation across various sectors. The leaders of China and Russia have met over 40 times, with bilateral trade reaching $244.8 billion in 2024. A major energy project, the China-Russia east-route natural gas pipeline, is operational, benefiting millions. The countries are expanding cooperation in areas like the digital economy and biomedicine. They are also working to promote an equal and orderly multipolar world, and have designated 2024 and 2025 as the China-Russia Years of Culture.
