Chiefs consider trade to draft defensive tackle Walter Nolen
The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to improve after their recent loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. The Eagles sacked Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes six times, highlighting the need for a stronger defensive line. The Chiefs have a strong defensive tackle in Chris Jones but require additional support. This year's NFL Draft is expected to feature many good interior defensive linemen. Kansas City has the 31st pick in the draft and might consider trading up to secure a better prospect. Enzo Flojo, a writer at Clutch Points, suggests that trading with the Los Angeles Rams could be beneficial. The Rams hold the 26th pick and could make an ideal partner for a trade. By sending their 31st pick along with a later-round pick, the Chiefs could select Walter Nolen, a defensive tackle from the University of Mississippi. Nolen showed promise at both Texas A&M and Ole Miss, recording 48 tackles, 14 for loss, and 6.5 sacks in his last season. Acquiring a player like him could enhance the Chiefs' ability to pressure quarterbacks and stop the run.
