Chemnitzer FC defeated FSV Zwickau 3-1 in the West Saxony derby, maintaining a perfect start to the Regionalliga Nordost season with three wins from three games and claiming the top spot in the table. Domenico Alberico scored in the 10th minute and Jonas Marx added a second in the 44th, giving Chemnitz a 2-0 halftime lead. David Vogt sealed the win in the 63rd minute shortly after coming on as a substitute, while Zwickau goalkeeper Lucas Hiemann prevented a larger margin of defeat. The late consolation goal from Lennert Möbius in stoppage time was Zwickau's only bright spot, marking the first goal Chemnitz has conceded this season.
