Charter CEO's 2024 pay significantly decreased to $5.75 million
Charter Communications CEO Christopher Winfrey's total compensation dropped significantly in 2024 to $5.75 million, down from $89.1 million in 2023. The decrease is mainly due to the absence of stock and option awards that inflated his previous year's pay. In 2024, Winfrey received a base salary of $1.7 million, a cash bonus of $3.75 million, and $296,500 in other compensation. His previous year's compensation included stock options valued at about $83 million. Winfrey became CEO in December 2022, succeeding Tom Rutledge. Charter is the largest video provider in the U.S. through its Spectrum brand and a major broadband provider alongside Comcast.
