Charlie Cox reveals he had never read a comic book before playing Daredevil

He initially misunderstood the character, thinking "Daredevil" referred to a skydiver or mountaineer. To prepare for the role, Cox received a Marvel Unlimited subscription and a reading list. He explored various Daredevil comics, including works by Frank Miller and Stan Lee, which helped him understand the character better. In connection with the upcoming Disney Plus series "Daredevil: Born Again," Marvel has republished the original comic storyline in a new trade paperback, featuring an introduction by Cox.
