Charges filed in fatal school bus incident involving six-year-old boy in Vaughan

A 65-year-old woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing death after a six-year-old boy was killed by a school bus in Vaughan, Ontario, in June. The incident occurred on June 19 as the boy was running to catch the bus. The boy, a Grade 1 student at St. Stephen’s Catholic Elementary School, was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver remained at the location after the collision. Charges were officially laid on October 29, following an investigation by York Regional Police. The name of the woman charged has not been released.
