Chargers enhance defensive line with key free-agent signings

The Los Angeles Chargers made two key signings on Day 4 of free agency, adding defensive linemen Da’Shawn Hand and Naquan Jones to strengthen their interior line. This follows the departure of Poona Ford to the Rams. The Chargers now have 57 players on their roster and can add more through the draft and free agency. Tight end Stone Smartt has signed with the New York Jets after the Chargers chose not to tender him. The team is also bringing back Taylor Heinicke as a backup quarterback, having traded for him last August.
