Champion jockey Jack Kennedy hospitalized after fall at Fairyhouse Winter Festival
Champion jockey Jack Kennedy was taken to hospital after a serious fall during the opening race at Fairyhouse's Winter Festival. The incident occurred at the last obstacle in the SIS Beginners Chase, causing a delay in racing. Kennedy was competing for second place when his horse, Twoohthree, fell fatally. The race was delayed by 10 minutes as medical staff attended to him. O’Moore Park's rider, Sean O’Keeffe, was unharmed. Kennedy, 25, has faced multiple injuries throughout his career, including five broken legs. He won last year's jump jockey championship in Ireland and was riding for trainer Gordon Elliott.
