Centre to Reclaim Air Force Golf Club Land on Lok Kalyan Marg

The Centre plans to return the Air Force Golf Course land on Lok Kalyan Marg to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, as part of efforts to reclaim land near the Prime Minister's residence. The Land and Development Office, under MoHUA, is accelerating recovery of leased or encroached parcels, including those held by the Delhi Race Club, Indian Polo Association, and Delhi Gymkhana Club. No official reason has been given for the golf course land's return, with sources citing broader efficient public use. This follows the August eviction of the Delhi Race Club from its 53-acre site for an unspecified public purpose, and similar action against the Indian Polo Association. Proceedings against the Delhi Gymkhana Club over 27 acres are before the Delhi High Court.
