Central Otago Council approves $5.6 million investment for Molyneux Stadium upgrades

The Central Otago District Council has approved a $5.6 million investment for Molyneux Stadium. This funding will support earthquake-strengthening and other improvements planned for 2027-28. The investment includes $1.2 million for maintenance over nine years and $4.4 million for compliance upgrades. These upgrades will address safety and accessibility issues. Over 30 years, total investments in the stadium are expected to reach $12 million. Without these upgrades, the stadium's lifespan would be limited to 25 years.
