A new electronic medical records system, One Person One Record, launched today in central Nova Scotia hospitals. The system, which tracks all patient requisitions, lab results, and appointments, previously rolled out at the IWK Health Centre in December. Staff have expressed concerns about lost documents and inadequate training. Premier Tim Houston stated the system is ready and will improve healthcare by creating a unified patient record. Some services are temporarily reduced to aid staff training.
