Celestron AstroMaster 70AZ telescope offers beginner views of the moon and planets

Celestron has released the AstroMaster 70AZ refractor telescope, a 70mm aperture model designed for beginners to observe the moon, planets, and terrestrial objects. The telescope features a manual altazimuth mount and comes with two eyepieces for immediate use. The package includes 20mm and 10mm eyepieces providing approximately 45x and 90x magnification, a red dot finder, a star diagonal for upright images, and an adjustable steel tripod. Its fully multi-coated optics and f/13 focal length allow users to distinguish Jupiter's bands, Saturn's rings, and lunar details under typical conditions. The telescope requires no tools for assembly and includes the Starry Night Basic Edition software for astronomy education. With a theoretical resolution limit of about 1.66 arcseconds and a recommended magnification near 100x, the AstroMaster 70AZ is positioned as a compact, functional entry-level instrument backed by a two-year warranty.
