Cebu earthquake impacts over 201,000 families, NDRRMC reports

The magnitude 6.9 Cebu earthquake on September 30 affected over 201,000 families, impacting 722,919 individuals across 17 cities and municipalities. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported 74 deaths, 559 injuries, and 8,818 displaced persons. Nearly 80,000 houses and hundreds of infrastructure were damaged. Fifty-three areas were declared under a state of calamity, with ongoing restoration of power, water, and communication services. Over 10,000 aftershocks have been recorded.
