CBS's "Watson" introduces Irene Adler on March 30
CBS is bringing back a classic character from the Sherlock Holmes stories in its new show, Watson. The series follows a team of doctor-detectives solving tough medical mysteries. Randall Park reprises his role as Moriarty, who made a return just before the introduction of Irene Adler, played by Whoopie Van Raam. In the upcoming episode titled "A Variant of Unknown Significance," Adler visits Dr. Watson as her young son, Angus, experiences temporary paralysis. Watson grows fond of Angus and works alongside his team to find out what is causing his illness. The character of Irene Adler dates back to the late 19th century, appearing in various adaptations over the years. This new adaptation may offer a fresh take on her story. While it's not clear if Watson has met Adler before, the episode hints at some complicated motives. The promo suggests that Irene might not have entirely good intentions concerning her son’s health, adding more intrigue to the mystery. Fans can catch the new episode of Watson on Sunday, March 30 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. Viewers can also stream it the next day on Paramount+.
