CBSE announces special exams for student athletes and Olympiad participants

CBSE will hold special exams for students involved in national and international sports events and Olympiads. This change allows students to balance their academic and sporting commitments without missing exams, addressing previous concerns. Eligible students include those participating in events sanctioned by SAI or BCCI, as well as Class X and XII students in international Olympiads. Special exams will take place within 15 days of the original exam dates starting February 15. Students must submit certificates from their competitions to qualify for the special exams. This initiative, which began in 2018, aims to support students' holistic development while ensuring they do not fall behind academically.
