Cathay Securities lets customers invest in stocks with loyalty points
Cathay Securities launched a pilot program allowing customers to use loyalty points to invest in stocks and ETFs. This new service enables users to convert accumulated "Little Tree Points" into investments, lowering the barrier to entry for stock market participation. The "Life Monetization, Steady Regular Investment" initiative, approved by the Financial Supervisory Commission in August, officially began on December 22. Customers can use points, where 1 point equals 1 New Taiwan Dollar, with a minimum of 100 points required for regular fixed investments in stocks and ETFs via the Cathay Securities app. To celebrate the launch, Cathay Securities will offer a lottery in January with prizes of Little Tree Points for users who make a point-based investment. Additional bonus points will be given to loyal customers who have completed previous regular investments.
