Casting Aamir Khan based on talent, not nepotism
Director Mansoor Khan has stated that casting Aamir Khan in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak is not an example of nepotism. He believes Aamir deserved the role because of his talent and fit for the character. The film, which was Aamir's debut in Bollywood, was shown at the Red Lorry Film Festival in Mumbai. Aamir and Mansoor attended the premiere and discussed the film’s success and a potential future project. Mansoor emphasized that nepotism was not a factor in his decision. He mentioned his previous experiences in filmmaking, reinforcing that he would not cast someone just because of family ties. Aamir Khan spoke about his feelings before the film's release. He admitted he was nervous and worried about his performance. However, he was surprised by the warm reception the film received and how quickly it changed his life. The two may work together again, as Mansoor is considering adapting his book, ONE: The Story of the Ultimate Myth, into a film. Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is preparing for his next project, Sitaare Zameen Par.
