Carneiro challenges Montenegro on Lisbon's hospital emergency readiness
PS Secretary-General José Luís Carneiro has demanded answers from Prime Minister Luís Montenegro regarding hospital emergency management in Lisbon and the surrounding area. He seeks clarification on emergency plans and resource allocation. Carneiro specifically questioned the government about emergency plans for the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, particularly concerning pediatrics, orthopedics, and obstetrics in the Setúbal Peninsula. He also inquired about the status of promised air support. Carneiro expressed concern over reports that only one of four planned helicopters is operational and cited instances of inadequate care, including tragic cases of infant deaths. He requested responses "in the coming days."
