Carl's Jr. opening first UK restaurant in Cardiff

A US fast food chain, Carl's Jr., is set to open its first restaurant in the UK this week, on April 3. The new location will be in St. David's Shopping Centre in Cardiff, Wales. The company plans to establish 100 UK sites over the next four years. To celebrate the opening, Carl's Jr. will give away 100 free burgers to the first customers. The UK menu is not announced yet, but it may include popular items from the US, such as their Famous Star burgers and unique drinks like Blood Orange Baller. Satnam Leihal, the CEO of the Boparan Restaurant Group, expressed excitement about bringing Carl's Jr. to the UK. Founded in 1941, the chain has over 1,000 locations across the US and exists in 28 other countries, indicating its global popularity. In addition to Carl's Jr., other US fast food chains like Wingstop and Chick-fil-A are also expanding in the UK. Wingstop plans to open at least 20 new branches, while Chick-fil-A is set to open more locations throughout the year.
