Carlos Queiroz has returned as Ghana's head coach less than two months after resigning following the Black Stars' 2026 World Cup campaign, the Ghana Football Association confirmed Thursday. The 73-year-old Portuguese manager will lead the team into a new era. Queiroz initially took charge in April, guiding Ghana to a 1-0 win over Panama, a draw with England, and a loss to Croatia before elimination and his July departure. The GFA cited his international experience and existing squad knowledge as key reasons for reappointing him. Queiroz has managed nine national teams, including Iran at three World Cups, and served as Manchester United assistant under Sir Alex Ferguson.
