Carabinieri second lieutenant Potito Carlo Formosa turns 100 in Rodi Garganico

Potito Carlo Formosa, a retired carabinieri lieutenant, turned 100 on August 5 in Rodi Garganico, Italy, celebrated by family and an Arma delegation. During the celebration, Foggia provincial commander Giovanni Capone gave him an Arma crest and a letter from the commandant general praising his career. Formosa also received a surprise call from General Salvatore Luongo. He enlisted in 1946 at age 19, served at the Foreign Ministry across four continents until retiring in 1985. He said he still feels the uniform's braids sewn on his skin.
