Cape Town airport diverts flights after Kenya Airways plane disabled on runway

The disruption stems from Kenya Airways flight KQ784, which suffered a tyre failure during landing around 15:25, leaving the aircraft stranded. Domestic departures continue, but international departures are suspended, with teams working to recover the plane. Low visibility has also prevented use of the secondary runway, causing delays and holding patterns. By 17:30, Flightradar24 reported 21 inbound aircraft diverted, with Cape Town topping its airport disruption list.
